The Violin

Emily, our leader, developed a keen appreciation of Picasso after a visit in her teens to the Picasso Museum in Paris. Pam produced this mixed media violin in the style of Picasso specially for her.

The work on the right is based on a spider plant which is growing on a windowsill in the house. Mainly felt and thread on canvas, a flamboyant touch was added with some chiffon wrapping from a birthday present
